UGANDA QUEEN ELIZABETH SAFARI â€“ 3 DAYS
The park is one of the outstanding treasures of Uganda and named after Queen Elizabeth II visit in 1954. It covers an area of 1978sq.km and is situated between two big lakes, Lake George and Lake Edward as well as the 34km long Kazinga channel. It has over 100 species of mammals, over 612 bird species. Queen Elizabeth National Park has one of the highest bio diversity ratings of any national park in the world, over 500 different bird species and about 100 mammal species. Common Antelopes species include the Kob, bush buck, topi and water buck. Other animals which can even be found at Mweya peninsular are; Buffaloes, elephants, warthogs and hippos. There are also various primate species are available in the park including chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkey, black and white colobus monkey, olive baboons among others.

Day 01: Entebbe , Queen Elizabeth National Park
After the airport pick up, we shall proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is one of the outstanding treasures of Uganda and named after Queen Elizabeth II visit in 1954. It covers an area of1978sq.km and is situated between two big lakes, Lake George and Lake Edward as well as the 34km long Kazinga channel. En-route we shall have a stopover at the equator for pictures, souvenirs and simple experiments. We will have a lunch break in Mbarara and thereafter proceed to the lodge. Dinner and O/N Katala Lodge/Mweya Hostels: FB basis.
Day 02: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
A morning wake up call for an early morning cup of tea/coffee with pastries. Our morning safari of Queen Elizabeth National park starts around 6:30am. We depart for a sunrise game drive on the northerly parts of the park along the Kasenyi track. It is at this time that the Big Cats are active on their daily hunts. We will drive around the crater Lakes in search of Leopards, Lions, Hyenas, Uganda Kobs and other wildlife
Later, return for breakfast and relax by the pool. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga for solitary Buffalo, Hippo and other animals at the edge of the channel as they cool off. European migrant birds like the terns and gulls congregate here in large flocks. Dinner and O/N Katala Lodge/Mweya Hostels: FB basis
Day 03: Return to Entebbe via Fort portal
After breakfast, proceed to Entebbe via Kasese town (which used to be Uganda's leading mining town which is now desolate Kilimbe Mines) and Fort portal with several stopovers at the equator (Kikorongo), have a magnificent view of mountains of the moon, cross rivers that originate from the top mountain Rwenzori such as river Nyamwamba and river rwimi among others, the great east African rift valley with its associated graben and crater lakes. Lunch will be served in Fort portal, then proceed to Mubende, Mityana to Entebbe (Central Inn).
